Here are some of the lessons we are doing in the SDS Art class.
Primary
Grades Pre-K through 2nd grade
Cookie Color Wheel - Students are creating a color wheel using cookies and icing. First, they will put the primary colors into the icing and ice their cookies. Then, they mix the secondary colors and ice their cookies. After they put their color wheel in order, they are able to eat their creations. So much fun!
Elementary
3rd through 5th grade
Draw a long - These students are learning the skills of drawing. They begin with drawing the "skeleton" of the shoe using geometric shapes. Afterwards, they reshape it to look like a Converse shoe. Once they have made an amazing contour ouline of the shoe, they make it look 3D by adding value.
Middle
6th through 8th grade
